I was Assistant Editor and Associate Producer on this film. I also co-edited this trailer. Throughout my six-year tenure at Maysles Films, this is the project I am most proud of, and the best team I've worked with. It was shot in 2001, right after 9/11. This was actually the second to last film Albert Maysles shot on film (the last being The Gates of Central Park). Everybody at Maysles Films had wanted to finish the film for years, and an early cut already existed. It was a joy working with Albert, Bradley and especially with editor Ian Markiewicz. The film premiered at Toronto Film Festival and played on Showtime.

“Captured mostly in gorgeous black and white, The Love We Make is alternately trite, touching, funny and fascinating.” – Jeannette Catsoulis, The New York Times

“Tech credits care of Maysles Films’ tiny unit are uniformly excellent, though unafraid of being as raw as possible.” – Robert Koehler, Variety
